This year, our Flags for Heroes event and the Southern Sussex Rotary is proud to support Operation Finally Home and their home for a veteran in Milton, DE. Rotarians from Lower Delaware and are coming together to furnish a home for a special veteran. Working with the Lewes Building Company and Operation Finally Home, the seven Rotary Clubs from Lower Delaware are raising funds to furnish the O’Brien’s home and to add a swing set for their son and soon to be second child. Contact us to learn more.

200 flags and over $8,000 were raised in honor of our veterans, current service members and local first responders who put their lives on the line to protect us and our freedom. Proceeds were donated to the Dagsboro Botanical Gardens to honor World War II Veteran and Rotarian Ferdinand Comolli, Operation Seas the Day, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee, the Delaware National Guard, and Rotary’s “End Polio Now” campaign. Flags will be displayed over Memorial weekend at Lord Baltimore Elementary School and on Rt 113 in Selbyville.
